Our History

MY Scuba Dive Centre has been operating for nearly 8 years. The dive centre started its life in 2019 by Hannes, this has led to the location to Salang. In 2019 Ziela joined MYS and in 2023 she became the sole director to MYS  to further improve on our already existing standards. We are committed to keep our standards to the highest level and to ensure that all DIVING requirements are met and or exceeded. With our team we can only give you the best experience you ever received in diving. In 2026 MYS moved to Tekek Village on Tioman Island with even further expansions on the horizon.

We focus on three areas:

• Diver training: We provide a full range of training courses, from the “try it and see” Discover Scuba Experiences, to the first professional level, The Dive Master certification.

• Leisure diving: For divers who are already certified, Tioman has a range of varied dive sites, each with its own characteristics. Close by we have shallow reef dives with lots of fish and a huge variety of corals. Further away are more challenging deeper rock and cavern sites. Sharks and Turtles can be seen frequently at a lot of our dive sites, making Tioman an ideal location for both beginners and the more experienced diver.

• Environmental awareness: We encourage our divers, in all dive courses and during dive briefings, to treat the environment with respect. There are various active environmental efforts here on the island, notably Reef Check and Cintai Tioman. MYS is a Reef Check training facility, where you can gain your Reef Check EcoDiver Certification and we also play host to a wide range of independent researchers from Universities around the world.
